Arose this morning to the platter of heavy raindrops and muffled thunder. Poor Cedar, Aspen MarCom, Lexy, Charcoal and Mr. Wilson do not like the heavy rain and Ann, Katie and I do not like their muddy feet, so they are staying inside a good while today. I made arrangements to purchase an Olympus E-500 DSLR camera from Cameras Etc. on Monday after I go to register for exercise at Pellport. My old friend Mike will do the re-evaluation needed before I can start working out on the equpment (some of which is new since I ended my five-year workout back during the summer of 2004. It was good last week to stop in and chat with Guy, Andy and Joe. It was like I had never left (except for my pouch that now overhangs my belt). Also had check up with
diabetes doctor (actually his PA Berrie Henderson) and a lower GI by Dr. Modi. All reports were good. And I got clearance to exercise again. Still job hunting. Did make contact with a supplier I had met at PMA who I will talk to Monday about doing some consulting.

TO THE VET WE GO
Well it is Monday, March 6, and Cedar got up this morning still favoring her left back leg, so I called and got a 10 a.m. appointment at Brandywine Hundred Veterinary Hospital. Took Cedar and Charcoal, leaving in her kennel Aspen Marcom who was loudly crying (It really got to me how much the girls love each other -- they do not like to be separated!). Samantha (she is newly divorced and studying interior decorating in college) took us into Exam Room # 3 where Dr. Hardy spent a good half hour checking the pups and chatting. He gave Cedar a shot and 20 pills that I need to give her the next ten days and evenings. If the shot and pills don't appear to relieve the suspected inflamation, I will need to take Cedar back for x-rays and more treatment for whatever is discovered. Charcoal got her Lyme's booster shot and we discussed the need to have her teeth cleaned and maybe a cyst removed. Total cost for the visit to the Vet was about $236. Emailed Byron with a report and we emailed back and forth reference getting Charcoal fixed up. I will call Sam Tuesday afternoon and ask her to find out if teeth clean and cyst removal can be done while Charcoal is knocked out. Also want check about other lumps that may or may not need to be removed.
