Ann will be 66 tomorrow.

Today is Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, and tomorrow will be Ann's 66th birthday. Katie, Conor, Laura and I took Ann to brunch at the Columbus Inn in Wilmington to get a head start on celebrating her B-day. It was a nice brunch with lots of breakfast and lunch goodies from which to fill our expanding bellies at $25 each. Ann looked beautiful in the sweater that Katie gave her Christmas of 04 that had previously gone unworn (Ann was saving it for a special occasion) . I gave Ann a well written birthday card and will now get her some flowers while I do the weekly shopping. Hope this week goes as well as last week did for Ann, who went driving for the first time since before her last operation. Jeff Herzka was kind to offer to take her out for a test drive. Ann passed his test and I let her drive us to Stanley's for dinner Thursday night. She did fine, but appeared a bit nervous in the parking lot. The puppies are happy to have Lex here to play ball with them. It is amazing how well the three sisters get along with each other and Wilson and Charcoal (who is getting older and older, but still jumps around like a puppy when it is time for treats).
